ATRAVEL, a new web-based tool for individuals and transportation project planners, is designed to help users examine the cost, travel time, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions impacts of various mobility options. In this “Coffee with a Researcher” session, Clean Cities coalition directors will provide feedback to Argonne’s Andrew Burnham on the types of data that would be valuable to Clean Cities coalitions and how future iterations of ATRAVEL could better serve their needs.

ATRAVEL offers a Trip Tool for individuals and a Metric Tool for transportation project planners. Trip Tool users input their location and recurring travel patterns to compare cost, travel time, and environmental impact for vehicle ownership versus transit, ride sharing, and ride-hailing. The Metric Tool provides census tract level mapping and summary data for several transportation-related parameters, including vehicle cost, travel time, and GHG emissions, as well as several demographic and air quality metrics.

This webinar series is open to coalitions and their stakeholders, and participants are encouraged to invite local and regional government and transportation planners that may be interested in comparing impacts of travel modes. To attend, register for this webinar with Zoom.
