Upstate NEVI DCFC Program (PON 5865)
NYSERDA seeks proposals to develop Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) along Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs) in New York State north of and including I-84 using up to $21.5 million of the federal formula funding under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. This program is intended to reduce the cost of purchasing and installing DCFC EVSE for use in New York State and ultimately accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption. Deadline 12/04/2024 (Round 1). NY School Bus Incentive Program
The NY School Bus Incentive Program is a voucher incentive program which will accelerate the deployment of zero-emission school buses and charging infrastructures throughout New York State. Zero-emission school buses include both electric school buses and hydrogen fuel cell school buses (collectively ESB’s). An initial total of $100M is available to fund the acquisition of new ESBs and charging infrastructure costs.
NY Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP)
The NY Truck Voucher Incentive Program is administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and helps make it easier for fleets to adopt zero-emission vehicle technologies while removing the oldest, dirtiest diesel engines from New York roads. Class 4-8 trucks, transit buses, para-transit buses. Funding awarded on a rolling basis.
Clean Bus Planning Awards (CBPA)
The Clean Bus Planning Awards (CBPA) provides free technical assistance to create comprehensive and customized bus electrification plans for school and transit fleets across the United States. Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
EPA Clean School Bus Program
The EPA Clean School Bus Program provides $5 billion over five years (FY 2022-2026) to replace existing school buses with zero-emission and clean school buses with funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The program includes information on rebate funding, grant funding, webinars, technical assistance, workforce development, and educational materials.
Joint Utilities of New York EV Make Ready Program
The Joint Utilities of New York EV Make Ready Program provides incentives for electric vehicle infrastructure development and equipment within New York State by reducing the upfront costs of building charging stations for EVs.
NYSERDA's Charge Ready 2.0
NYSERDA’s Charge Ready 2.0 offers incentives to public, private and not-for-profit organizations that install Level 2 EV charging stations at workplaces, multi-unit dwellings (MUD’s) or public facilities that are owned and operated by municipal or state government entities.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Fueling Property Credit
The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Fueling Property Credit can be used to determine your credit for alternative fuel vehicle refueling property that you placed in service during the tax year.
Federal Electric School Bus Tax Credits 30C and 45W
The Qualified Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit (45W) is a tax credit that provides up to $40,000 for each delivered electric school bus. The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (30C) is a tax credit that provides up to 30% of project costs, with a maximum of $100,000, for electric charging infrastructure installed in low-income or non-urban communities.
NY Drive Clean Rebate
The NYS Drive Clean Rebate offers electric vehicle (EV) buyers up to $2,000 off the purchase or lease of 60+ new EV models.
Consumer EV Federal Tax Credits
Consumer EV Federal Tax Credits provides a list of federal tax credits and incentives for both new and pre owned EVs.
