National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today’s widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.
Nearly 300 events are held in communities across America, plus Canada and New Zealand. Here in Rochester, we celebrated the week with a half-day festival at RIT! The event was supported by ROC EV and Greater Rochester Clean Cities. The electric car show is organized by the New York State Electric Auto Association.
During the event, over 150 electric vehicle (EV) test drives were conducted and over 75 personal EVs were showcased in the car show! The attendance for this event was outstanding, and the support from 17 ROC EV volunteers and multiple community organizations allowed us to execute a terrific event. We are looking forward to an even bigger event next year!
