On September 25, 2021 GRCC, in partnership with the New York State Electric Auto Association, sponsored a very successful National Drive Electric Week (NDEW) Event. The event took place at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) from 10AM – 2PM.There were 270 attendees 79 vehicles on display. There were also representatives from local green energy and climate action groups. RIT engineering student displayed an electric motorcycle they built.

Attendees were able to talk to electric vehicle owners and local dealers about electric vehicles as well as obtain information about electric vehicle and electric vehicle charging.

Henrietta Town Supervisor Steve Schultz spoke about the various initiatives the town has implemented to reduce its carbon footprint and create mor environmentally -friendly policies for the town

RIT provided logistical support for the event.

NDEW is a nationwide event held each year to promote the advantages of driving electric cars.
