Upgrading vehicle maintenance facilities to safely accommodate natural gas, hydrogen, or propane service can be a deciding factor in whether an organization chooses to adopt one of these fuels for its fleet. Upgrading a garage for code compliance can be confusing, unnecessarily expensive, and time consuming.
GTI is developing in-person workshops and online resources that will provide a guide for how to upgrade maintenance garages for natural gas, hydrogen, and propane service. These workshops and resources will cover important topics, including gas detection, emergency ventilation, heating, alarm systems, and a review of fuel properties.
A tour of the newly retrofitted garage at Rush Truck Center- Northwest Houston will follow lunch. Industry expert, Wally Dubno, Clean Energy Fuels-Natural Gas Facilities Modification Services, will teach the course.
