The new 2017 Fuel Economy Guide, which is published each year by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is now available at FuelEconomy.gov.
The guide helps new car buyers make informed choices on the most fuel-efficient vehicles that fit their needs. Users can print the 2017 guide or access an online version that is updated weekly as additional information becomes available from auto manufacturers. In addition to the guide, FuelEconomy.gov features other handy tools to help fuel efficiency-minded car buyers.
For those in the market for new or used cars, the FuelEconomy.gov’s Find-a-Car feature, as well as the Find-a-Car app, allows users to search for and compare fuel efficiency data by class, make, model, and year. EPA data on miles per gallon equivalent and estimated annual fuel cost is available for each vehicle. Also check out EPA fuel efficiency information for the 2017 Top Ten Fuel Sippers and the 2017 Best and Worst Fuel Economy Vehicles. Like the online guide, these lists will be updated throughout 2017 as new data is available.
