
Cornell Cooperative Extension, Canandaigua, NY
The Propane Autogas Answers Workshop was held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Canandaigua, NY on November 1st and served as an educational event for the public to learn about the benefits of propane-powered vehicles. Industry experts presented successes of the propane autogas industry and benefits over gasoline and diesel-powered counterparts. Propane vehicles are cheaper to fuel, have cleaner NOx and GHG emissions, and several operational advantages to diesel vehicles – such as odorless fuel and easy start in cold temperatures.
Speakers included Greg Zilberfarb from the Propane Educational & Research Council (PERC), Derek Whaley from ROUSH CleanTech, Jeremy Johnson from BlueBird, Bill Overbaugh from Ehrhart Energy, and Courtney Bozic from Clean Fuels Consulting. The meeting was presided over by Clean Cities Coordinator David Keefe.
